Note: Creo Commerce has a one time $99 license fee, and can be installed on any of the hosting packages we offer.  Installation within 24 hours of purchase.  You can add Creo Commerce during your hosting signup, or any time afterwards.

Pre-Sales Questions

Q: May I see a demo of Creo Commerce?
A: Yes! Just send a request to support@creocommunico.com and we’ll be happy to set you up with access to a private demo.

Q: Can I see the templates that come built in?
A: You can view thumbnails here: http://creocommunico.com/creo-commerce/templates-included

Q: What language is Creo Commerce setup for? Does it support other languages?
A: Creo Commerce’s management area is in English. Mal’s management area is also in English. At this time neither supports other languages and customization to another language is not available.

Q: What is Mal’s?
A: Mal’s E-Commerce is a secure way to accept orders and payment information from your website. You can read more about it at www.mals-e.com.

Q: Why do I need an account at Mal’s?
A: Creo Commerce is setup to work together with the Mal’s ecommerce server. Mal’s is PCI-Compliant (very important!) and secured so that your customers information is safe. The server at Mal’s handles the final checkout of your orders.

Questions About Moving Templates from Existing Websites

Q: I have a website that I like the style and layout of. Can it be transferred?
A: Generally the answer is yes but it does depend. If it is plain HTML, it’s usually no problem. There’s a one-time fee of $50 for a basic template transfer. Please contact us directly at support@creocommunico.com to see if your site’s template can be transferred.

Q: Will it be exactly the same?
A: The general layout and graphics will be. The exact way your products display will change to the formats offered in Creo Commerce.

Q: What do you transfer in a template transfer?
A: A template transfer includes only your site template. This is the layout and graphics common to every page, basically. For example, your background, your header, your navigation, and your footer. If you have a stylesheet, that can be transferred too. This does NOT include transferring your products, your categories, the content of your pages, etc. It includes only the basic layout. It also does not include any custom programming (such as changing the layout of the product pages or categories).

Domain Names

Q: Do I have to register my domain with you?
No, you may register your domain where ever you would like. You’ll just need to update your name servers to point to my server if you’d like to host your store with Creo Communico LLC. We do offer competitive prices for domain registration and would be honored to register it for you at just $10.99/year.

Q: Do I have to transfer my domain name to your company to use Creo Commerce?
A: No, you do not. You are welcome to keep your domain registration through whichever company you would like. You’ll just need to update your nameservers to point to the Creo Communico LLC server.

Website Hosting

Q: What about email?
A: You can setup your own professional email@yourdomain.com through the CPanel. The number of email addresses available is limited only by your storage space. You can also setup autoresponders and forwarders. Webmail is available, too.

Q: I have hosting somewhere else. Can you put the Creo Commerce system there?
A: Creo Commerce can only be hosted here on our servers. There are very specific technical requirements and our servers are setup to meet them perfectly.

Running a Home Based Business Online

Q: Do you offer any resources or advice to help me get started?
Yes! Our goal is to help you as you begin and build your business. You’ll find free resources in the administrative area of Creo Commerce to help you with marketing, search engine optimization, business management and more.

Support Questions

Q: Do you provide support for Creo Commerce?
A: Yes! You’ll find video tutorials, a user guide, searchable knowledgebase, and support tickets available.

Q: Will you create graphics and design my site for me?
A: No. Creo Commerce does not include a website design or programmer. You are purchasing the website management system, and we provide support to help you use it. If you want a template designed, extra graphics, changes to the way pages are laid out or other programming changes, you need to hire a website designer or programmer. We may be able to refer you to someone to do these task but they are not included in your license fee or website hosting fees.

Q: What if I decide to change my domain name later?
A: Your license and hosting account can be changed to a new domain name for a one-time $25 fee. This includes issuing a new license for the new domain name, and changing the server so that the new domain name is the main domain on the account, and updating your Mal’s callback so that it’s hooked up to the store at the new domain name. This does not include any changes to your website design.
