Website is Down
Don’t panic!
We’re here to help.
- Are you connected to the internet? If you can see this page, you are! Just go on to step 2. Step 1 is here to make you smile and give you a second to take a deep breath because it’s going to be okay.
- Is it the server, or your website? Check here to see if the server you’re on is down: http://creocommunico.com/clients/serverstatus.php If it is, open a support ticket by sending an email to support@creocommunico.com for status updates, or just check back to the status page. We’re alerted the minute any servers go down so you can rest assured we’re already on it!
- Is it down for everyone, or only some areas/computers? Strange as it might sound at first, because there are so many connection paths (pipes) between different areas and ISPs, it’s possible you can’t see your site but that it’s not actually down. Check this one by going to http://www.alertra.com and putting in your domain for a “Spot Check” to see the status.
- Is your domain name expired? The best way to check is to go to the website where you registered your domain name, login to your account, and check on your domain status. If you registered your domain with Creo Communico LLC you can login to check here: http://creocommunico.com/clients/clientarea.php
- Is there an issue with your billing? If you’re seeing a page with the Creo Communico LLC logo (top left of this page if you’d like to see it) and a note to contact us, the chances are we’ve had to suspend your account after several weeks of unanswered billing emails. We’ll be happy to unsuspend if you just get in touch with us and help us update your billing info.
- Did you have an editing/updating disaster? If your website is powered by an ecommerce system or a blog, and you’re getting a weird line of code mentioning mySQL or a database connection, zip us an email to support@creocommunico.com so we can troubleshoot for you. We may be able to quickly fix whatever went wrong, or restore from a very recent backup to fix it for you.
- Is your Creo Commerce shop not loading? If you’re running Creo Commerce and your getting a strange error message, did you change your config.php file or try to change the domain name on your Store Settings page? You’ll need to contact us to get that fixed, if so. Email support@creocommunico.com and be we’ll help you.
- Did you block your IP? If your website doesn’t load for you but does load for others, have you recently tried to block access to certain IPs in your cPanel? You might have inadvertently blocked your own. Email support@creocommunico.com and be we’ll help you.
These are 8 of the most common problems we see at the support desk. If none of these help, please open a support ticket and we’ll run through other possibilities and work with you to get your website back up and running ASAP.
