Quick Start Guide

All signed up and ready to begin setting up your website? Great! Here's the easy way to start. You may want to print this page out to make it easier to follow along as you work.

Note: This "Quick Start" tutorial is not comprehensive. It covers only the basic settings to get you started.

Setup Your "Site Settings" Page

1) Login to your storeadmin area.

2) Click "Site Settings" near the right bottom of the page as shown in the image below.

3) Fill in the fields as shown in the image below. Be sure to click the "Update Variables" button to save your changes when you are done.

Setup Your "Catalog Setup" Page

1) Click "Catalog Settings" near the right bottom of the page as shown in the image below.

2) Fill in the fields as shown in the image below. Be sure to click the "Update Variables" button to save your changes when you are done.

Edit the Text on Your Home Page

1) Click "Pages" near the top left of the page as shown in the image below.

2) Now you will see a page that lists all of the pages on your website. Look for "index.html" (that's your home page) and click the "Edit" link for that page as shown in the image below.

3) This page is where you will add the text and images you want on your home page. For help on how to use the WYSIWYG editor (all the little buttons on top of the big box), scroll to the bottom of the support page for video tutorials. Be sure to click the "Update" button at the bottom to save your changes when you're done.

Activate and Edit Any Other Pages You Would Like to Use

1) On the "Pages" page, you'll see a list of other pages that are built into the system. There's a search page, site map, contact page, and more. For any page that you want to use, just click the "activate" link. Then you can edit the page with it's "edit" link just as you did for your home page.

Add a New Product Category

1) Click "Category" near the top left of your pages as shown in the image below.

2) Click the "Add" button to create a new category as shown in the image below.

3) Fill in the category page as shown below. The only critical field you must fill in is the first one labeled "Category:" for the title, as shown below. You can fill the rest in later if you want to. Then click "Add Category" to add it, as shown in the image below.

4) Repeat steps 2 & 3 to add additional categories.

Add a New Product

1) Click "Products" near the top left of your pages as shown in the image below.

2) Click the "Add" button to add a new product as shown in the image below.

3) Note: there are *THREE* pages in the product adding process. Be sure to click the button at the bottom of each page to finish the process so it saves your new item properly. Let's begin.

4) On page 1, fill in the fields as shown in the image below. The most important to fill in are:

  • Item Name: Fill in your item name
  • Description: Add a description of the item
  • Thumbnail URL: Click "Upload" and follow the steps to find the image on your computer and upload it
  • Large Image URL: Click "Upload" and follow the steps to find the image on your computer and upload it
  • Regular Price: Put in the price in dollars and cents, for example 10.00
  • Choose Category from the Category #1 Dropdown

Be sure to click the "Add Options" button to save your product and move to the next page in the process.

5) Next you can add options to your product as shown in the image below. If you have no options to add, just click "Add Inventory" at the bottom of the page to continue.

6) On the final page you can choose related products if you want them to display with the product, and you can enter your inventory numbers as shown in the image below. Be sure to click the "Save" button when you are done to save your product.

7) That's it! You've added an item successfully. Repeat steps 2-6 to add more items.
