Upgrade to the Client Billing & Support Software

We completed an upgrade 4/27/2010 to the billing software.

Most notable new features:
- you can now pay multiple invoices in one payment
- you can now renew multiple domains in one payment
- domains will be invoiced 14 days prior to their due dates (instead of 7 days) and you'll continue to receive notices at 60, 30, 14, 7, and 1 days prior to the domain's expiration date
- promotional codes will show on your invoices so you know they've been applied
- the knowledgebase will make smart suggestions of other articles you might like
- security question process for resetting passwords is now simpler
- tickets will be closed 72 hours after we reply, if there's no update from the client (don't worry, if you reply later it will reopen)

Lots of behind the scenes updates, too, to help things run more smoothly.

Email Sending Issues

We've had a lot of tickets dealing with errors on sending email. Some of the major ISPs are not allowing send on port 25 to external SMTP (meaning, you can't send through your own mail.yourdomain.com SMTP). It's an anti-spam thing, and it's great that they're fighting spam, but can be annoying when your mail suddenly quits sending.

Because of this, we have port 26 and port 8025 open for SMTP for your use. So if you are having problems sending mail on port 25, try changing it to 26 or 8025. If it works, you know your ISP is now blocking port 25 outgoing. If mail still does not go out, please put in a ticket or give us a ring on the phone so we can help you with this.

New Mailing Address

Sales Tax

Along with the updated address, if you happen to live in Juneau, Alaska we'll now have to add a 5% sales tax to your invoices. Thanks for understanding.

Update on PayPal Subscriptions

Please don't panic if you get a notice your subscription is being cancelled. Your account is just fine. It's just that some of our subscription payments aren't properly crediting in the system and we want to make sure we don't miss your payment being credited immediately when it comes through.
